Lake Norman, North Carolina

The design concept for this store picks up on the rich racing history of North Carolina. Less than an hour away from The Charlotte Motor Speedway, we were inspired by the idea of racing flags, racing stripes, and of course wheels for the bases. The materials for this project included:

White Oak from Kyle Edwards at The Sawmill, Ltd (Iron Station, NC); Reclaimed heart pine tongue and groove wall cladding from Ken Russell (SE Georgia); Salvaged pine plaster lathe from Chad Cox (Savannah, GA); walnut off-cuts from our very own shop.
